Established in 1997, the Atlanta Memorial Hospital Foundation's mission is to seek, receive and administer donations and gifts for the benefit of Atlanta Memorial Hospital. The Foundation is governed by an eleven member Board of Directors, each chosen for leadership abilities, knowledge of healthcare or experience in community issues.
The Foundation has disbursed gifts and grants which have provided funding for a new CT scan, Wellness Center equipment, Chapel restoration, garden furniture, training equipment, computers with training software, infant care safety equipment, a 10 passenger specially equipped bus, and uncompensated ER trauma care. The Foundation sponsors an annual 5k Pump and Run, an annual golf tournament and a Christmas Tour of Homes.
